The debt collection agency RRI called me about a credit card debt that I owed and said if I paid $700.00 that debt would be forgiven. I paid $700.00 and was promised a release but never received one. I do have a copy of check. Now another collectin agency is trying to collect for the same debt. When I called back RRI they said they had no record of it much less a letter of release which the new collection company required. Please help
