I received a packet in January stating that I had been approved to have my mortgage permanently modified. It detailed the payment schedule for the next 25 years and all I had to do was sign the agreement along with the other documents and return them by January 23, which I did. I have been making my modified mortgage payments and they have been accepted by Bank of America. Now they are saying that the investors rejected my modification because my ex-wife didn't sign the papers.in the agreement there is a provision that says she doesn't have to sign because her interest was transferred to me via a divorce decree PRIOR to the beginning of the modification application based on MY financial information only. How can this happen?
