I received an email from Zbiddy stating that they had a Nikon D90 for sale at $46.00. Since that price was a mere tenth of the retail price, I decided to look further. I logged onto the website and answered a few questions in order to expedite the sale. However, I discovered that this camera was not available on this website and that only far cheaper cameras were for sale. Therefore, I logged off the site. I then discovered that Zbiddy had deducted $60.00 from my account. I called to inquire about the charge and was told that that was their standard procedure. Finally, after several minutes of repeated sales talk, the customer service representative agreed to refund the $60.00. However, he said the money would not be returned for 4 to 6 weeks. He also assured me that I could go ahead and bid on items for sale on the site.
So first they reported that they had an item for sale that they did not. Then they deducted money from my account even though I had not made a purchase. Then they delayed repayment presumable in hopes that I would make a purchase while waiting to get my money back.
