Before Thanksgiving Circuit City had TV adds stating they were having a Thanksgiving Day Sale, Online web only sale. Thanksgiving day I logged on to their website and could not buy the items I wished to purchase. I called the 1-800 number on the website and was told, the stores would be open at 5am on Friday morning and could purchase the items for the same price. This is not a webonly sale if you can not buy online.
Friday morning I arrived at the store at 5:20 and asked to puchase the two items I was interested. I was told I could not purchase these items unless I had a "voucher" that was given out to the people in line before the store opened. I spoke with the manager and was told thsts the way it was. No voucher, no purchase. I could come back after 9am and could buy the items without a voucher for the sale price. I went back at 9 and the items were not in stock.
Seems to me, if a company advertises an "Online Sale" Web Only", the items should be purchased online. Not only could you not buy them online, why did they say Thanksgiving Day only sale, when you couldnt buy them.
I emailed the company and have not heard anything from them.
They are a rip-off and I would never even try to buy an item in that store on from their website. I would rather pay a few more dollars and know I was making a purchase from an honest company.
