My AC was still under warranty but their technician figured out a way to charge me for something not covered by the warrnty - "Heat Adjustment". He charged me $ 450.00. While working on it he told me aboyt a leak coming from the guest bathroom and he said that he will ask one of their tecnician to come im fror a free estimate. When the technician made the assessment, he told me that there is a leak from the water pipe; the rubber seal has to be replaced, and caulking has to be done. Total cost $1,350.00. I told him I'll think about it. I called another plumber and it leak was fixed for $ 85.00. I I also asked an AC technician about the AC and he told me it was nothing but a scam.
I wrote to the President of Bob Hamilton Plumbing and he was defending his people and when I told him that I had gotten second opinions, he refunded the $ 450.00 charge for the AC and I was told that they don't want me as a customer any more.
All these happened in the beginning of 2011. There was no monetary damage but I'm glad I got second opinions and complained about it.
