We went to have a normal 3000 mile oil change and check-up. After some time waiting, the clerk that signed us in came back and said that the Tie rods were "worn out". I was shocket since the car had only 36,000 miles with the original tires. I have driven new vehicles close to 100,000 miles an have never had to replace "tie rods".
I asked to have the old parts, which I have examine and to be sure, they are good as new.in addition, there was no hint of a stearing problem when we to the car in, and there was no change in how it handled after changing out the original parts. It is clear to me now that the clerk was "lieing" to us.
I would like to have a licenced expert examine the old parts before going to court to get our money back.
