Came upon Bidrack from an ad.
I am a big ebay fan and love good bidding sites (that are legit) So when I ran across this one and it said FREE registration. I did not hesitate just to browse around and see what they had to offer.
I gave them my info including my CC acct. To use in the event I made a purchase. When my account was created, I saw the bids in the corner for my use. I still was thinking it was part of the registration. I then noticed that you could bid on "bids" to buy more and bid more. That is when I started putting 2 and 2 together. I went to my personal profile and found that I had been charged $99 for 175 bids!
After searching the site, I found where you could buy bids in different incruments for different prices, which I knew I had not done! So how did I get the charge? They chose it for me, when I put in my info. I did not recieve any type of email or anything regarding a purchase. I did not find the reciept until I searched for it in my profile. Thankfully it was in the same day, but by this time, I had already used 49 (and it didn't take long). I stopped immediately and I called the 800 number and explained that I had not intended to buy anything, I DID NOT click a package to buy, and that I wanted a refund and close my account. They said to email [email protected] and I did... I heard nothing. I am now going back and forth with Capital One to dispute this charge. What a PAIN!!
