We went to an Angel Investing Conference that NCH put on, about raising investment capital for a business. At the very end of the conference, at about 5 PM on Sunday evening, they asked to get together with my husband and I. They wanted to sell us a $14,000 package of services called the "Ultimate Funding Fast Track Program." We said we were not interested, and that we didn't think they could obtain an amount of credit for us that would make the expense worthwhile, as we had just obtained business lines of credit on our own.
In order to induce us to sign a contract and make the purchase, they agreed to write in a clause giving us a right to a refund if we didn't obtain an adequate amount of credit by March 15th.
On that basis, we agreed, and gave them a credit card for the $7000 initial payment.
They then sent us to a third-party, independent company, who obtained credit for us, but only after we signed a separate agreement with them and were charged approximately $9,000 in addiitonal fees that were never disclosed by NCH in their contract, in their promotional material, or by their salesman.
They also failed to provide any of the other services their contract obligated them to provide.
When we tried to cancel the contract, per the clause that allowed us to do so, they refused to give us a refund. We disputed the $7,000 charge with the credit card bank, and they also refused to issue a credit.
This is a very clear case of credit card fraud. We are looking for someone who can help us get our money back.
