They did not give us any 30 day notice of discharge in writing. But they waited until the day before her insurance was to run out. Then told us we had to fill these papers out asap. They would send them to Medicaid. They never sent them. They said we were refused but they still never sent them in. So we did not even get due process. Plus they said they wanted $14,000 or she had to be released.
Our mom is 95, can't see or hear, can't walk or stand and is bed ridden. My wife has health issues. I am 100% disabled veteran. We are on a fixed income ourselves. But the idea of the demanding $14,000 or else without even filing the papers, they just made their own judgement, was very unprofessional to say the least.
