Fell for this scam myself. Oh cool a free battery app! Not so "FREE" is it. I am very careful of stuff like this and I never got any text telling me that I was going to get charged $9.99/month for this so called "free" app. I didn't notice it till the second month because on the first month they billed it there was no name for the charge at all. My bill just said PREMIUM SERVICES. I don't understand why there is no laws against companies like this. They pray on people and then when you ask for a refund they fight you on it claiming that you did sign up for it. You can't get the phone company help either. So please tell anyone you know with a smart phone that if they get a text about a "free" battery app, to just ignore it, because it is a total scam!!!
