J D Harston and I came to an agreement of $30,750.00 for a semi tractor and trailer combined. After many days of phone conversations with J D. Finally the driver, my truck and trailer showed up at his home to close the deal, (while I'm in Wis. At my home). J D invited my driver to stay in his guest room till Monday in order to wire payment to my account, (seemed like a trustworthy person). He said there would be three wire transfers, $10,750, $10,000, $10,000. The first for $10,750.00 came through and my driver hopped in a rental car with J D's card (used for reasons at the rental place). My driver went on his way as JD found the fed ex package with the titles signed and ready for him to claim ownership while I wait for two more transfers that never happened. I received another $4096.00 six days later via com-data checks. We spoke more seldom as time went by, me realizing I left myself prey to a dishonest person. I made the mistake of signing a bill of sales written up by him that said, (for the consideration of $10.00) so he could pass up paying sales tax. I needed money quick with many financial difficulties, personal and business. J D knows the agreement, he swore on his wife and kids that I would be paid.in the last few conversations he began the (I'm being hassled by the phone calls) bit. I own two trucks now and need to lay off an employee. Life has thrown many things at me lately chewing away at every last penny I have. I have a Wife, Stepson, and two two small children we're raising. We are doing everything possible to avoid losing our home. My family doesn't deserve to suffer from my decisions, but they are. J D still owes me $15,964.00, send him a note help him feel what he's done to me. He's a ripoff artist.
