I attended a travel club presentation at World Travel in Long Beach, California and got the gift of a free cruise to several different locations. I sent in my $248.00 deposit fee in the form of a cashier's check which they requested, and five weeks later, I got my reservation form in the mail for the New England cruise which I requested. They sent me an e-mail requesting I call them for the details of my request. They had no free cruises available on the one I picked because it only runs from July through October, and I must reserve the cruise 90 days in advance of the departure date. They used up my time and said I would not qualify for the dates next year because my time would have run out by then. They said I could get on this cruise in October provided I pay them $1700. I was furious and told them to give me my $248 back and they said there are no refunds. I am totally outraged about this, as they are operating a scam on every possible level. They should be closed down for fraud and misrepresentation and everyone should get their money back who got suckered into this.
