Received a postcard for a free 7 day cruise aboard Carnival Cruise lines subject to listening to a presentation by World Travel in Long Beach, CA. We went to hear the presentation and were given the free cruise certificate.in order to get the free cruise we were required to submit a $248.00 deposit which would be credited towards the cruise. Unfortunately, we did as required and sent a cashiers check to them. When we finally got the information as to the cost of the cruise, 60 days prior to the actual cruise we requested, we were told it would cost us a total of $2900.00. The total cruise cost per Carnival's online quote was only $2600 for the accomodations we requested, yet Ultimate Executive travel wanted $300 more than standard pricing. Where is the free cruise credit. When we called back to ask for our money back, we were told that we could get a travel credit only - no full refund and the free cruise was for a bare boned inside cabin during non peak travel periods. Totally a scam.
