I too, contracted Carpeteria to come to my home for consultation, purchased hardwood and linolium for 3 bathrooms & kitchen. Salesman measured wrong, failed to tell me that if the concret floor wasn't level, Carpeteria would have to charge me extra to float the floor. 1st crew shows up to pull out old stuff - old man 70ish, his wife and their teenage son none speaking english - would not let them in my home. Took 2 weeks for 2nd crew.
After broken hot water pipe & fire (caused by Carpeteria worker) in upstair bath on a Friday night which we had to pay emergency plumber outfront - 6 months of installation for one reason or another - floors buckled - linolium pulled apart at seams after a few months - had to get the corp office invovled - Manington Rep and VP's secretary coming to our home - bad debt report on our credit report because we refused to pay until work was repaired or replaced. Got ceramic tile replacing linolium, we still had to pay additional for the labor installation on tiles.
Finally resolved after 2 YEARS!!! Of horrible treatment by corporate office, I am a female and was treated wrongly by them. I have a file 3 inches thick with letters, etc. Now I finally have resolution and a clear credit report. DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS HORROR IN THE FIRST PLACE - They sub all of their work out - they don't stand behind their subcontractors at all. We ended up not paying for most of the work & product (the hardwood floors are still not right) but the emotional pain and time that this took was unacceptable. Do not put yourself through it.
