I contracted with Floor Expo in May to install hardwood floors in my home. Their crew was unskilled, and some areas of the floor and trim had to be redone over subsequent visits and the use of another crew.
One highly visible area of decorative molding, in particular, was poorly installed. As a result, the floor is uneven to walk on, there are gaps between the molding and the hardwood floor due to bad cuts, and some areas of the molding and floorboards were chipped. The work is sloppy and unacceptable.
Floor Expo agreed to order replacement molding and reinstall the it under their warranty program, but the work still hasn't been completed—4 months later! They have made many, many excuses and arranged and cancelled too many appointments to count.
On August 25th, I filed an online complaint with the Greater Dallas Better Business Bureau (Case #91018722) to put pressure on Floor Expo to honor their commitment to finish the work properly. The filing has had no discernable impact.
As of October 2nd, no work has been done. I am frustrated by their excuses and missed appointments. I'm tired of being RIPPED OFF!
