This operation (they can not be called a company) are scam artists of a sort that can be admired - if you are a crook. I responded to their number that was on Judge Pirro's" great offers". (they are no longer on that line.) I was told it was health insurance and thought it was a good deal. After paying them $49.00, I was informed by them (I say them because this company has various names-Qualifiedhealth, Beach Street, Cinna, and others.) When I purchased this I was told there was a total refund if you can not use them.
They miss represented themselves - after purchase I was told that they were a discount club and not insurance. O.K. I still tried to make use of my purchase. However, my doctor would not accept the plan and when they gave me info on other doctors, the numbers they gave me were unusable - 1 # was disconnected, the other doctor was not accepting new patients. This so-called service was not a help.
Then when I wanted to cancel the program, I was told that $30.00 was nonrefundable for processing. O.K. Then I could not get back the $19.00. I spent a lot of time on the phone and these people had tricks I had never heard of before - after you ask for your refund they keep putting you on hold - often hanging up-not original. However, they employed a new trick - either not speaking loud enough or turning their volume down on their phones so you could barely hear-much less understand what they were saying. I know business - that is an original (at least to me) ploy to get people frustrated so you will give up.
I do not expect to get any money back from these crooks and the only reason I am putting the time into this is because I would like to see these people exposed. The economy is bad - that we all know. However, it is fraud companies such as these that will keep our situation worse. There are some people (especially the elderly rich or disabled poor) that will never catch these things or not do anything about it.
