Complaint 1: Newport Fun Tours is a company that markets and advertises their services at discounted rates on multiple coupon websites. They lure customers in by offering huge discounts, however do not have sufficient amount of water craft vehicles to service the buying customers of the vouchers sold. As it is almost impossible to get a reservation, I have read many forums online that complain about Newport Fun Tours being a month out booked in reservations Meaning voucher holders like myself are unable to book a researvation prior to my voucher expiring. The company should not be allowed to sell more vouchers than they can service thru reservations. I purchased 5 vouchers, and after 7 attempts to book reservations, i was able to book 1.
Complaint 2: My family consisted of 4 children and 3 adults. (2 yr being the youngest) The employee sent my family out on the water craft knowing that the battery life was not sufficient to last a 90 minuet tour. However the employee sent my family out KNOWING this unsafe fact. My family did indeed run out of battery life and had to be pulled back to port. As I had an evening reservation, the weather got cold and chilly real quick. The company employee knowingly placed my family in danger. I therefore contacted the owner of the company immediately. When he responded he was as unconcerned about my families safety as his employee was. He did not apologize on behalf of his employee or his company. He also did not believe that my complaint was truthful. As we battled via email back and forth, he promised in writing to refund my purchase. I waited one week, two weeks, three weeks, then four. I then followed up with him and he did not return my emails. I then wrote him a blunt e-mail stating that if I did not receive a response, I would make it public of the customer service my family received. He knowingly wrote emails back and forth with me, promised a refund, then after a month of waiting, did not follow thru with my refund. To this day I am still waiting for a refund
So I research more online about this company and found that there are multiple complaints of horrible service, problems with making a reservation using a coupon, as well as failure of refunds. I am writing this complaint because it is important for other adults to know that this company can not be trusted. Due to the fact that the employee was willing to send customers, small children, a baby out on the water risking that they may be stranded at sea is a huge concern to any parent. Also please note that this company is also selling more vouchres than they can provide reservations for prior to the expiration date of the purchase. I for one am a person who can truthfully state that I was unsucessful using all 5 vouchers because lack of water vehicles and too many reservations booked from other vouchers sold thru the multiple discount websites.
As a parent myself I can truthfully say, that the safety conditions that Newport Fun Tours provided my family were dangerous, and due to the fact that the owner of the company was contacted regarding this HUGE concern and did not address the prolem immediately, or apologize to me or my family for placing us in harm, this should be a red flag to the public.
