This person representing himself as my long time so called friend lured me to Ellijay, GA with a promise to work with me to build me a home for my retirement years. When I got to Ellijay I worked with his realator and found a suitable property to build the home on. I put up the $14,000 for the initial purchase of the property which was to be repayed to me once Mr. Ellis converted the builders loan he secured into a regular mortgage.in addition to the monies I put up for the property I also was on site managing the sub contractors as the work was done,
In addition I personally put in 500-600 labor hours doing some of the exterior building as well as doing all the interior trim work, tile work, hardwood floor installation, painting, and much, much more until the home was completed. From the period of 2009 I resided in the home and made all the builders loan payments to the United Community Bank.
