Ellis Merriman wrote and accepted a conctract to build a block wall with stone face and stone cap on my patio. I supplied all the material and he was only providing labor. He promised that the job would be completed in one week. He also asked for a $600 deposit before work began (which was half the contract price of $1,200). The deposit was broken into $300 for the first 2 days of work. Ellis Merriman of London Masonry came and worked on the wall for 2 days and then did not come back. After repeated calls to his cell phone for over a week he finally called back and said he couldn't finish the job because he had a nose bleed and that he would send someone else to finish. The person that he was supposed to send never showed up, and after calling Ellis Merriman again he claimed that the person he was going to send wasn't reliable. At the time of this posting (June 18) the wall is still not finished.
