Dunning for Paid Bills

I joined Comcast Triple Play and they cancelled this phone service on 2/24. My final bill with Centurylink was paid on 2/26. On 2/24 Centurylink turned my account over to creditors for final payment (which they received 2days later, which was 2 days prior to the due date of 2/28). This creditor calls my house every morning for payment and threats to turn this over to credit bureau. Calls to Centurylink tell me they have notified creditor that bill is paid creditor says they have not received this notification and they dont care if i paid Centurylink - I haven't paid them. I was with Centurylink for over 30 years and bill amount was electronically paid EVERY month.

Fighting dunning creditors every morning is not how anyone should start their day. All this thanks to Centurylink who can't even wait for your bill to not be paid before turning it over to creditors.
