An AT&T sale person came to our house and sold us a package of U-verse with an attractive monthly charge price. The sales order was in a written form with all the details of the ordered U-verse package. But when I got an email order confirmation from AT&T next day, the monthly charge is almost 37% higher than the price that was written on the sales order. I called AT&T about the price discrepancy and intended to cancel the order if the price is not the one that is originally quoted. The agent apparently contacted other internal AT&T department and came back saying that AT&T will honor the price that was written on the sales form. So I want ahead with the order. The installation was complete and well done. Everything works fine as expected. But I found out the internet speed is MAX, not MAX Plus as specified on the sales order. Furthermore, I got a bill a week later that has the higher (37%) monthly charge. I called AT&T again. This time they simply said that they cannot honor the original sales order and it was a misinformation on the part of sales agent. I was told to cancel the service if I want to. I have asked to talk to their manager and they said I will be contacted after 24/48 hours... Now I am stuck because I switch for a better price at the first place. Since the price is not better than my previous service provider and AT&T seems to be a company with no integrity, I really don't want to do business with them. But then I need to pay for non-trivial fee to get my previous service re-installed. Is there any thing I can do?
