There was a fundraiser for the daycare center stating that it was for educational materials. The cookies were supposed to be in before Christmas and never heard anything else when they did not come. Later, clients began to ask for their cookies and I began to ask where they were. We received multiples excuses like (" they are going to be here next week, there was a recall, other parents turned there order in late and that is what is taking soo long", etc). We later asked for the cookie companies information to be able to contact them, was told that we would get it and never received it.
We then asked for our money back and was told that it would come from the day care's account. We demanded that it come from the cookie company so that clients could be sure that their order was placed. We later received a call from the director of the company stating that the order had never been placed like we were told because the order being sent in was not big enough. My clients did state that their checks were cashed even though they never received anything. The checks were cashed even though she knew that she did not have the bulk amount needed for the order.
