Why doesn't Hy-Vee honor thei own add prices? I went to Hy-Vee after midnight, the morning of Dec 2 to get some things off their two day sale add (that started Dec 2 and had advertised no time restrictions). Anyway I picked up a bunch of items off the add and a few others and when i got to the checkout I noticed things were not ringing up as advertised! I told the cashier and showed her the add (which advertised no time restrictions) and she told me, "The add doesn't start untill 4:30am and there is nothing she could do about it". Well after arguing with her about honoring their add I asked for the manager. He came over and told me the same thing. He also pulled a peice of paper out from under the counter (where no customer could ever see it) that stated that the adds don't start untill 4:30am. It would have been nicer placing it in the add or on the door so they could save their so called valued customers a little head ach and time. Why advertise if your not going to honor the add? Isn't it illegal to advertise something and not honor it? Anyway, thank god Walmart holds good to their word and matched the add prices of their local competitors. Even when the company that advertised (HY-VEE!!!) would not honor their own add Wallmart did. I'm done shopping at Hy-vee and I hope anyone who gets steped on by the buisnesses they support should be done shopping there too!!!
