This is the third time we have experienced the same situation within a three week period. We eat lunch at Applebee’s about once a week and have the same thing every time The Beef Sliders with Dip and either Soup or Salad. The first time we ate at this Gilbert location we got our order and when we dipped our sandwich into the dip it was like dipping it into warm cooking oil. We told the waitress and she got us another and told us that the reason it was like that was because they make their own dip.
We asked for a bit of onion soup to dip it in and told the girl it was horrible and she should let the manager know. The next time we went it was the same and we had mentioned that it was just terrible and they should do something about it. I even told them that I would make a batch for them if they wanted. She again said that she told the manager and he didn’t even have the courtesy to talk to us.
This past Wednesday the same exact thing happened, you can’t tell me that this was an accident. The same thing happened three times in a row. How can you serve a dip that is about 50% oil and has no flavor at all and find that acceptable? I just find that so very offensive and can’t believe the manager didn’t even try to make it right. I guess they just don’t care about our business after all.
I just think you needed to know what this location thought about a customer’s opinion. I wasn’t just us either. Two of the servers told us that they hear that all the time, but they make it fresh and that is how it comes out.
