Deceptive sales methods - Sears Auto Cente

I called Sears Auto Center at 9 AM on 7/6 about some tires on sale through 7/6 - that is, on the last day of the sale. I was told "we have 3 in stock, I will see if I can order a fourth, it will probably be in on Friday. I will check and call you back and let you know." I asked if sales price would apply, he said "sure, no problem." I gave him Name and Cell number and waited. At 4 PM I called again and got someone else, they said that they didn't know who first person had been, they checked stock, and person 2 told me the same line "we have 3 in stock, I will see if I can order a fourth. Let me put you on hold while I check something - " I was off work at this point, so I held for the TWELVE minutes - finally he came back on and said "I will check and call you back and let you know." once again I asked if sales price would apply, person 2 said "sure, no problem." I gave him Name and Cell number and waited. No callback. Not that I was expecting one at this point. (Incidentally, my cell is working, full charge, full signal, no missed calls or messages.)
The next day I call again. Get person 3 explain situation briefly, get "we have 3 in stock, I will see if I can order a fourth. Yes, no problem, we would have it Tuesday - is that OK?"
NO "I will check and call you back." this time - he checks stock and offers an order in 30 seconds. Price - of course "regular price - that sale ended yesterday." Apparently when the tires are on sale, they won't order any that would make them sell at the sale price. Too bad, I used to like Sears...
