Horrible customer service, discrimination

On October 17 around 3:30 P.M. My wife had cut a coupon from their advertisement and upon learning that the merchandise is out of stock, a worker in that area told us a raincheck will be ready for us at the customer service desk when we check out.

I picked up few items and went to the check out lane and presented the coupon to the cashier to get a raincheck from customer service desk. She called another lady named Tricia and she told us the coupon we have was from previous week and they no longer honor it. Then the cashier check out the items we purchased, I scanned my credit card on the terminal and when the transaction is approved, cashier handed me the receipt to sign, then she asked to see my credit card. She then told me she needs two see two more identification because my signature does not match the one on the credit card. I then told her to forget the whole transaction and gave her back all the merchandises. I told her I need someone to cancel the transaction immediately. Or issue a credit to my credit card. She call Tricia again and she said the transaction will be voided next day. Tricia also said there is nothing they can do now because the transaction has been processed, however, it will be voided next day.

Well, the transaction that was suppose to never took place posted to my credit card account on 10/19, one day after it should have been voided.

I took the copy from Tricia with the transaction show on my credit card back to K-Mart on 10/27 and after I briefly explain it to the cashier at customer service desk, she call an older gentleman and he told me that I have to come in next morning to speak to Trcia since she is the only person who can reverse the charge. The lady at the customer service desk also said Tricia only works in the morning and never ever work in the afternoon. I told them both that it is worth to come back to that store and I will have to dispute the charge with the credit company.

My question are: 1) Why they refuse to issue me a credit in the first place since they know well that once a credit transaction is approved and submitted, it cannot be voided, 2) cashier only asked for multiple identifications from us, because the couple before us wrote check and she only showed on ID, 3) when I went back the second time to ask for a credit to my account, neither one of the people there at the customer service desk even attempt to get little information on what's going on.

Does anyone experience similar problem at this or other K-Mart store?
