Employment opportunities ripoff equal opportunity employer BULL

Citizen advocates, inc (aka) north star industries, (aka) north star behavioral health services says they are an equal opportunity employer.

I don't believe that their employment opportunities are very equal.

Recently they advertised both internally and externally a position for a purchasing agent.

An employee who met all the required areas as outlined in the job posting applied for this position.

This employee then received a letter stating that they did not have enough purchasing agent experience and therefore was not going to be granted an interview.

This same employee had previously applied for this very same position and was granted an interview.

If this person is not qualified due to not having enough experience why were they granted an interview on a previous occasion?

The reasoning behind this seems to be that fact that they have already pre-picked who they want to fill the position and it does not matter what your qualifications or experience may be as they have already predetermined who they are going to hire before they even begin the interview process.

I must point out that this person also has a two-year degree in business with a major in accounting and over 20-years experience in the business field and has been employed with this organization for 13-years.

If this is their idea of what an equal opportunity employer should be then I guess I have been mistaken for all my 20 years in the business field as to what the meaning of equal opportunity employer is.

This just goes to show how unequal and unopportunistic an employer this organization is.

If you currently are employed with this company and want to try to improve yourself or your career don't expect fair and equal opportunity for advancement.

If you are not currently employed with this company and plan to be in the near future, you better plan on staying in what ever position you get for the rest of your career unless you know someone in a high position in the company who can assist in your advancement because you will not get advanced based on your qualifications or experience.
