Poor service and VERY unprofessional

I had a one year contract for pest control with National Exterminating Company. The contract agreement was for quarterly pest control. Upon entering my third quarter with the company, I began to notice an invasion of some type of outdoor bug. I contacted National Exterminating Company and was told by the recepitionist to call my assigned technician on his cell phone. Upon contacting the techncian, he advised he was out of town and would take care of the problem when he got back in town on Monday... Well when Monday came, I did not hear from the technician nor did I hear from the company. Aprroximatley two weeks elapsed, I then called the main office again and was told the exact same thing (call the technician on his cell phone), I did and he responded days later and sprayed. Days later, I conatcted the company again to informed them that the problem was still occurring and I was told them same thing once again (call the technician on his cell phone), once again I did and he eventually responded and sprayed again. Weeks later, the problem (bugs) were still there and had gotten far worst and made there way into my home, shed, covered my deck and fence.

Throughout this ordeal, I was still being billed from National Exterminating for a service which I was NOT being provided. I contacted the company and advised them I was not happy withthe service and did not wish to continue service with them, the advised me to send my request in writing and that I would still be responsible for the remainder of the contract. I was in striong disagreement with this and refused to pay for a service in which was very poor and not satisfing. Several weeks later, I reciceved a judgment in the mail for the payment and cost cost of the services. Reluctantley, I paid the bill to aviod this going on my credit and choose to fight for my refund through the Better Business Bureau.

I contacted the General Manager for National Exterminating and advised him of the situation, he showed no compassion and repeatedly stated I did not pay my bill as agreed, he never made mention of the unprofessionallisim of his staff for not showing up for service when they said they would be there, the rudeness of the receptionist when they had me locate the technician on my own (each time) and the fact that they never exterminated the pest. I am fully aware of the quarterly payment as agreed, I just felt that I should not have had to pay for lack of servic and unprofessionalisim.

In my opion, the General Manager could have solved this problem by ensuring the pest were exterminated, having his recetionist make all contact with the technicians and making his employees more accountable for their time management for the customers. The General Manager could have also simply aplogized for the entire incident and taken corrective action to ensure this never hapens again.
