Official Pest Prevention
Performing Refused Services And Demanding Payment RIPOFF

On January 12 I notified an employee at Official Pest Prevention Company via phone at 877-711-2847. The purpose of this call was to cancel Pest Control service at my residence in Stockton, Ca. The reason for the cancellation, I was no longer living at the residence.

The employee asked me if I would like to continue service at my new residence. I clearly explained to the employee NO, not at this time as I was looking to buy a new residence. The employee advised me he would check back with me in April or May of to find my status of the new house purchase.

On or about the first week of May I received a call at my job from employee Jeff. Jeff asked me if I had purchase a new house, and I told him no. I further advised him that I wish no longer to used his services for pest control.

On or about May 9, according to employee Jeff, a serviced technician went to my old house in Stockton and performed a full service of pest control for a service charge of 69.00. I received a call from my ex-girlfriend that a bill was left in the door from the Official Pest Prevention Co. She advised me that she personally call the business advising them that Mr. * no longer resided at the residence and to immediately stop service. She further indicated the side gate of the residence was locked and no one knock on the front door. So how did the service technician perform any type of service pest control service? She informed me of the un-welcome service still being performed at her residence. She asked me to please notify them again to stop the pest control services being performed at her residence.

On May 11, I called Official Pest Prevention and requested to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with on duty supervisor Jamie and explained the nature of my complaint to him. Jamie apologized for the mis-understanding about the pest control service and told me service would be dis-contiuned at the Stockton Address. He requested a written letter be sent from me requesting same. On May 21, a letter was sent to Official Pest Prevention Co. Again advising to stop service at the Stockton address.

On or about July 11, a Pest Control Service Technician arrived at the Stockton address again to perform service and left another bill for 69.00, plus an additional amount of 69.00 for May 11 service, plus 19.00 late fee for total amount of due 157.00
On August 15, I called Official Pest Control Co. And asked to speak with the manager Jeff.

I briefly spoke to employee Ricardo prior to speaking to the manager and explained the problem situation to him, however he stated he understood my position but would have to refer this matter to the manager Jeff.
I spoke to Jeff and explained the situation to him. Jeff stated that he was very familiar with this case. He said he had spoken with employee Jaime and was advised that Jaime told me pest control service would only be temporarily stop at the Stockton address would resume May. I tried to explain to Jeff that Jamie never told me about a temporarily stop service. I told Jeff the mention about May in the conversation I had with Jaime is that I may find another house by May and might request their services at the new residence. Jaime stated ok just call and let us know.

I then asked Jeff about my original request in January and written letter dated and sent May 21, indicating to stop service because I was no longer living at the old address.

Why would Pest Control Co, send a technician to the old address to perform service? Jeff, could not provide a reasonable explanition, only to say there was only a temporarily freeze of your account until May. At this point Jeff proceeded to threaten to send my account and bill to a collection agency for payment. As I still tried to explain my position and find a resolution with Jeff he said "THATS NOT MY PROBLEM" and hung up the phone in my face.

So here is my case I present to you of a business who made the mistake of performing a un-authorized pest control service at a residence where the original owner no longer resides and requesting payment after being told several times by phone and written letter to STOP SERVICE.

Further, I cannot believe the attitude and behavior of the manager Jeff to treat customers with dis-respect, un-professionalism and verbal threat to send account to an collection agency.

In research of the business operation of Official Pest Prevention Co, it was amazing to see other customers experienced the same exact problem. I guess this is how they make profit by performing services at a customer's residence who has requested service be stop. WHAT A RIP-OFF.

I would like for my case to be sent to KCRA CHANNEL 3 T.V. Sacramento, Ca call Curtis for review, and Better Business Bureau to report the bad business of this company. Thank you.
