Treatment of Employees

On November 9, I was hired as a seasonal employee for JC Penney - when the season ended, they retained about 4 of us for on call employees - came September and JC Penney has a policy that if you do not work at least 4 hrs in one month you are auto - terminated. = I was told I would have to re-apply again for the season. Logic would tell you that if they retained me beyond the season, they obviously thought I was a good employee as there were sevral others they could have kept - the store I worked at was not hiring yet but noticed anther was so I filled out application - first I was told I was not re-hirable because i was terminated - this was fixed yesterday and I was told to go back on internet and re-apply and then to re-contact trainer. I called the trainer who gave me an ext to a mngr Mr Greg Eely (sp?) I left mssg with him - about 10 minutes later, I received a call from the trainer Elana that the reason they were not going to hire me is because there were 3 different levels of recomendations of hire, a high, a general and a not recommended and she claimed the countryside store and given them a not recommended as a re-hire - now why on earth would a company keep someone from nov until sept if they felt I was so useless? Also, I was what they termed as an official "greeter" - the last time I spoke with the manager of the Countryside store "Elia" who if she does not already know it has made quite a poor reputation herself and would love to see one of these younger people in the future managing her, she told me I was not getting hours because i was not "productive" I asked her how on earth could you not be productive by just saying "welcome to Penney" for 4 hrs a day" This tactic ot theirs to keep me from getting re-hired for the season was nothing but pure being down right nasty to me and was purely a power play on their part - and I ask again - who keeps an un productive or a not recommended for re-hire for a year? Why did they not terminate me a month after the season if they felt I was so un=rehirable - I was reviewed by "elia" in May and their were several areas she marked way below average that were completely false and I ws going to bring this to her attention but was told by fellow employees that her reviews were always that way and that she downgraded everyone. I hope "Elia " enjoys her christmas knowing that she took the opportunity away from me to have one for no reason other than shear evil.
