3 days ago a Columbia gas rep showed up at my door & said they detected a small leak & want to make sure it is not in my house. I let him in & he turned off my gas & checked&no leak in my house. He did not have the right tool to finish his job @ the main line in the street, so he put in an order to send someone else over & told me he turned my gas back on but he turned the pressure down a little. He forgot to relight my furnace. He said someone would be back that night. No one came & it was very cold that night. I spent hours on the phone with the gas company again on day 2 & again was shuffled from one person to the next being told I was on an emergency run & they would be there soon. Late that afternoon, The next guy came scratched his ass & did nothing but talk on his cell phone & laughed with someone on the other end; he then shut my gas off all the way, so now I have no furnace, no cooking & no hot water even though the 1st guy confirmed in his written report that there was NO LEAK in my house. The 2nd man also confirmed no leak in my house, yet he shut off MY GAS. He reported he could not finish the street test of the main gas line which services all of the area either & another crew would be back, yet only my gas is off & my house was given the AOK twice. Late last night a huge crew came & dug up the street in front of my house, tore up my sidewalk. I spoke to each & every man that has been to my house & told them I have left the basement door unlocked & not to forget to turn my gas back on! They said they would. I went to bed at 130 am. At 230 am they left & taped a note over my note reminding them to remember to turn my gas back on, saying they were sorry I wasn’t home & they could not access my opened unlocked & lit basement that I told each of them hours before my going to bed. Day 3 I am again on the phone with the gas company again saying I was promised 3 days ago I was to be taken care of that day & if I left the house, they would put me off until October 15th, even though again it was their mistake to begin with. It is 130pm on day 3 & still no gas & now no one will tell me who is going to fix my sidewalk that they tore up & is now gravel. It was cement. Help me please! 3 pmThe man from yesterday just came here & I asked him why he turned my gas off when the 1st man told him & I told him & the 1st man's written report said there is no leak in my house. He said I don't know & tried again to blame his mistake on someone else-I said BULL &! It's been 3 days & I have no leak, why is my gas off when it is your main line & everyone has confirmed I don't have a leak. Why is my gas off? He said we'll see how many more days it takes to get your gas on, grabbed his tool bag & left because after 3 days of frustration I rose my voice and said BS!!
