On the above date 8 energy efficient windows were installed in my mobile home. About 1.5 hours later I went in the bathroom to open one of the windows and it wouldn't open so I immediately called Ryan and spoke with him. I told him that is not the window I wanted and he stated " I thought that's what you wanted" I told him for 21 years I have been opening that window because, it's convenient for me to fill the bird/squirrel feed when it's raining and also I can talk with my neighbor in her yard and or yell at anyone trying to break in her house. He said I'll have to talk to my supervisor. About 3 weeks later Ryan called and said Lowes will replace the window but, you have to pay labor No! Unless Lowes wants no more home improvement business or other business I'm not paying for what I din't order. OK I'll let my super know. Finally, a week later Amanda (super) calls and says we can't get a window that size in vinyl but, we can put an aluminum one in that opens. I said it won't match the vinyl and besides you just removed an aluminum one. I'll do my own research and get back to you.By this time I was so upset I tried to call her back but, no one at the store knew how to get in touch with her so I immediately called Ryan and told him: I want an itemized reciept, the permit packet, a call to codes to inspect the windows, and finally I want Lowes to take back their window and credit my account for the full amount. OK Miss Compton, I'll let Amanda know and get back to you and that was approximately 8/31/10. I still have not heard anything as of today (9/12/10). Since then I have called for estimates to replace the window with a vinyl and I was told that the window opening would need to be made 3-4 inches larger in order to get the minimum size vinyl window made. Now, I have to pay out additional money because, of Lowes assumptions that I wanted a window that's sealed shut. If this complaint doesn't get any results from Lowes then I will try and write a letter to Ryan and if that doesn't help I will file in small claims. Pat
