In Aug of 99, I entered into a contract to have my windows replaced with new vinyl windows manufactured by Great Lakes Windows, 10 windows for $3000.
Two bathroom windows were to be frosted, when they were installed one of the bathroom windows were the incorrect type (clear).
Gary Goeckerman, an independent seller of the windows had to reorder, I said fine but I am not paying full price, I withheld $500, until the window is replaced. It took over a year to get the right window installed and when he finally delivered the correct window, he left it on the front stoop and the vinyl edge was cracked.
I told him that if he sent me the warranty paperwork I would overlook the crack in the window frame. He told me to send the remainder of the money and I would get my warranty.
I asked him to overlook the $500 dollars since he has not made good on his contract. I have called the manufacturer of the windows and they say I am on my own, independent contractors.
