I just received my Magic Jack today. So far so good! I read a lot of review that trashed it and the billing process. I must say, at first I wasn't happy about them authorizing the card for the 30 day trial, but it is what it is and I understand. They gave me equipment, if I don't return it, of course they have the right to charge me. Anyone could say they weren't happy with it. I am testing different phones with it. I am not getting a clear connection with the cordless, but it may be because the battery isn't fully charged. The reason I am writing a review is because no one addressed my problem prior to purchasing.

I have a slow processor on my old computer and didn't know if it would work. (that's why I paid the extra for shipping on the 30 day trial instead of buying it at Walgreens). Also, my USB port required me to disconnect my mouse and keyboard to plug in large devices. To my surprise, it came with a USB extension, yay! Some people said the connection was bad. It may have been the phone because I am not having any problems with my land line phone. And I love the way it works, stores numbers and call history. Ability to dial from the computer instead of the phone etc...

A lot of the reviews I read said their computer was wasting power because you have to keep it on all the time. That is BS because I never shut my computer off and I've had bills as low as $50. So find what is making your bill high and blame that, not the magic jack. Maybe the weather!!! AC and heating can alter your bill drastically even if it's only a few days a month, at least on mine.

So it's cool, so far I love my new toy!
