I'm amazed at how many whiners there are about Magic Jack. I've heard it all. If you folks don't know how to use a computer, cannot follow directions, or are just someone that whines about everything, go pay $40 from the phone company - simple as that.
If you are looking for something that really works and you can use a computer without whining, then Magic Jack is for you.
I've had it for going on 4 or 5 years now. I've paid $20 a year for it and am very impressed. I have used it on my home computer, my netbook and laptop and other computers with no problem.
I just came back to Hawaii from Paris, where I was able to use it like I was in the USA, no problems. People were amazed on call quality. I have also used it all over Asia. Soooo I've paid $20 per year and saved a ton, plus it is very convenient.
Can you bring your home phone with you to whereever you have an internet connection?
Quit whining - learn how to use a computer first, pay for decent internet connection, or just call your local phone company and pay $40 per month.
98% of the whiners about Magic Jack have problems due to issues with themselves or with their computers - the Magic Jack is not the problem...
