04/28 I was a returning in person customer to Payless Optical in Springfield, MO. After the in house optometrist determined my broken eyeglasses were "shot" even though they refused the coupon they had sent me in the mail I purchased new eyeglasses and paid for them in full by local Springfield, MO check. When they did not notify me the glasses were ready for pickup in 2 weeks I e mailed what I thought was Payless Optical and Adam Sandman (who I later learned was in NY) tried to start a conflict and soon said I would be getting zero glasses and he'd have a check sent to me sometime in two MORE weeks. An atty then contacted him and Sandman agreed I could pickup the glasses. I picked them up 05/19 only to find they did not change to sunglasses in sunlight like they had claimed they would like the pair I had broken AND they were obviously measured wrong—I had to move my computer screen up nearly 4 inches to see anything and then things were still blurred even though my prescription had bearly changed. (Later I found my receipt from the glasses I had purchased from them in 2006 and it was very obvious they had measured wrong for 2009.) At first Harry Lowe at Payless agreed to pay me cash refund and even pay for some gas for half a trip to return the glasses (some 160 miles). But, Adam Sandman soon changed that and they started tryingn to force me to extend credit to a company I had never heard of by driving to Spfd., MO at my own expense, return the glasses and accept a check from this out of state company (Ophthalmic Management) on a private Nebraska bank. I am a senior citizen and have now suffered with headaches, etc. For 76 days w/o my eyeglasses and w/o my money. Adam Sandman has even defamed my character throughout the USA, including releasing fax communications marked confidential to my optometrist to third parties and even faked some e mails he claimed he sent to an atty I work sometimes for.
