Dear Sir the reason for my story, is to let the world know how abusive the Autoridad de Energia Electrica of Puerto Rico is. My story begins on May when I Rented a two bedroom apartment two a young lady for 355.00 Dollars a month with a stipulation in her contract that if the electral bill goes over a 90.00 Dollars a month she would be responsible to pay the differance. To make a long story short she has not paid rent or light for 3 month, and talk about the justice system that a different story. Anyway I call the light company on the 2nd of July and and explain to them the situation and told tham to shot the power off, Until her edviction notice is serve. If she wants power she would than have to get the bill in her name until she got serve from the courts. Anyway the electric company said it would be turn off on the 5th no later than the 6th of July. When I called tham on the 6th of July I talked to a Mr James Clifford and i was informed that there was no record of the work order anywhere, not to mention that everytime you call there number you have to wait, one whole hour before someone comes on the phone. So after talking and, argueing with him for about 20 min, He goes on to explain that since I called on the 2nd of July the forth is a Sunday and since they observe the 5th and the 6th, it was not be in the system till the 7th of July. Have you ever seen such a lack of proffesionalisam. After all of this line of bullshit, They told me and assured me that the power would be turn off on the 9th of July. I called again on the evening of the 9th which is weak from the 2nd of July and this time i talked to Mr Benson Miranda, can you believe that he had no clue of what was going on. I could have talked to an empty bottle and got a better response, So he gives me the phone numbers to the Aguadilla Office which is the company which is responsible to turn of the power and done of the numbers work. Try it yourself 1-787-805-8328 8325 1296 here it is 13th of July and i call today and talk to a Olando Vera from the Main San Juan Office the line of bullshit that they give you is so unbelievable I have given up they are talking about another 2 days before they can get someone out there. This is a country that suppose to be associated with the United States. Give me a break there anti americans and that the feeling i get. When i call and press 1 for english they expect you to speek spanish, Well let me tell you my parents were born there not me i am an american and i serve my country for 13 years in the ARMY. I believe i deserve a little better treatment than that. For a country that its citizen claim to be american they sure dont act like it. I'ts the american people that maintain that islandif it was not for all the public aid that we send down there, which let me remind you its our tax dollers that feeds them. Puerto Rico would be nothing but a slum.
