I purchased a Riccar vacuum cleaner, HP1500 Hepa, several years ago. This is a tank type with motorized brush and costs between $500 and $600 dollars. Supposedly a top of the line vacuum cleaner. The first year of ownership I experienced problems with the connectors between the hose and motorized head which interrupted the electrical connection. I got no satisfaction from the dealer and complained to the company. They replaced the equipment. Since then the hose has ruptured and the replacement cost was $100 dollars. Now I am experiencing a faulty on/off switch and cannot turn the vacuum on when needed. For a high end vacauum cleaner and the cost this item is not worth buying. My best advice is to stay away from this product.
