I purchased a shovel (with a lifetime warranty) in and was assured thatif it ever broke to just bring it in with my receipt and they would give mea new one, no problems. I questioned this in disbelief, and left your storethinking, cool, if it breaks, they'll replace it. Today, I took that shovelback to get a replacement and your management first told me that the shovelwas out of warranty because it was over five years old. I began to ask morequestions, because I called that store about a month ago to make sure theywould replace it. The gal said, just bring it in and it shouldn't be anyproblem. Then the manager came to me and proceeded to tell me that he haschecked the system and they never had any shovels that even fit thatdescription. So, first I had just waited too long and then the storychanged to never been part of stock. Why on earth would I try to embarrassmyself by carrying in that old broken shovel with my receipt, just to tryand get a replacement over a $9.97 purchase made seven years ago. Had Inever been told about some lifetime warranty, I wouldn't have had any reasonto try to get that replaced. Now, I'm not too sure about ever shopping inyour chain of stores again. Since I have a big family and bundles offriends, and I blog on websites for income... I told that manager Sean, thatword of mouth goes a long way! That manager Sean of the Portage, Michiganstore talked down at me like I was wasting his talk time with hisfriends, and then told me two different stories on why I wasn't going homewith a replaced shovel. When he said "we've never even carried a shovelwith a yellow handle" I about lost it. Then I told him to go ahead andshove it right up his &! That's when he took it and put it behind thecounter and told me he had nothing else to say to me, and that I was toleave before he calls the police. As I headed to the door, he come up on metoo close. I stopped, and said "go ahead, just touch me". He claimed hewas only going to call the police, as I was headed out the door. He did notneed to rush up on me like that, because it was in a threatening manner. So, now I have no shovel and no receipt, which I walked into the store withboth, came home with neither. I'm pretty upset and will not return to thatstore again. Maybe you should reconsider that man's title with yourcompany, because, right or wrong, he's making you all look really bad!
