I am coded bankrupt and I am not going thru a bankruptcy

In May when I received my house payment statement I noticed at the top of the page it said "For Information Purposes". Then about middle ways on the page "This statement for information purposes only and is being provided as a courtesy should you voluntarily decide to make your loan payments. This statement should not be considered as an attempt to collect a debt or a demand for payment contrary to any protections you may have received pursuant to your bankruptcy case."

I have been paying my house mortgage on this home for 12 years never late on a payment. Never included this mortgage in a bankruptcy, but yet they are telling me this loan was not reaffirmed when went bankrupt - only way to reaffirm is to go bankrupt again and have reaffirmed - otherwise bankruptcy coding will stay in loan account for life of loan.

There was a Chapter 7 bankruptcy filed by me in Nov. 2001 - (9 years ago). The house loan was not involved at all in the bankruptcy. Was completely left out of the process. I have never had a mention of it from my mortgage until May when I received my payment stub from Wells Fargo for my June payment.

Friday June 18, I went to my Credit Union to have Wells Fargo Paid off and take out a new mortgage for 15 years. When they processed the info and my outstanding debt printed out, my Wells Fargo Mortgage was not listed. The loan officer was vocal about it, and wondered why it was not on the print out. Then she says, I have you payment statement I can make a copy of it.

My question is why after 9 years are they just coding me bankrupt and treating me as if I just filed bankruptcy. Also, why was my Mortgage Loan not on the printout when the Credit Union drew up my application for loan with their credit union. With all this bankruptcy talk, I am sure my credit union will turn me down. My hardship lasted for about a two year period. I went thru a divorce. Before that two years, my credit scored in high rating and now after the hardship, I have brought it up in the high range again. The Wells Fargo rep told me the code was put on the account in May and that her screen showed I never missed a payment on my home mortgage loan.

I am not sure what I should do about this situation. If you could check into it for me I would greatly appreciate your time and efforts in this matter. Thank you, Carol Lumpkin (205) 243-7765 anytime.
