Pop 3 intervention

My emails take days to be received and sent, because of this Pop3 thing that no one there can explain. I have talked to them repeatedly and have yet to get a solution. Today is Fathers Day. (Happy Fathers Day to all of you Dads!) But, I have sent ecards to my son and son-in law, several hours ago. They have yet to be received. Due to past experience, they probably won't get there for several days. I don't get it. If it is going to take days to get there, maybe never, why don't I just send the message by postal mail?
Would you please help me? I could change my email address but it would be like changing my home phone number. Everyone I know has this address. Fairpoint Communications just keep giving me the "run around". Can You Help? Jill Lindley/Pamela Lindley
