My mother and I was sitting in the waiting area, these two black females came out from in the office area I was looking at this ladies daughter admiring how cute she was. The one black female looked at me and "said do get up out her mouth". I told her that I was looking at her daughter not her, she put the little girl down walked up to me calling me vulgar names and then punched me in my face. This went on for about 10 minutes until some lady sitting beside me had enough respect to go up and tell them to call the police. The police officer came up asked what was going on and if I wanted to press charges. I stated that yes I wanted to press charges then he took her into protective custody. I was finally called back to the office they didn't ask what happend or if I was ok they just acted as if nothing happend. I felt very disrespected and threatend. I was very hurt, angry, and upset and when we tryed to tell the caseworker what happend she just ignored the fact of the situation and acted as if she didn't care. I stated to her that they needed to have more protection for people and she ignored what I said. I was angry and said some cursing words and I am sorry for that but I was threatend and assaulted and they just kicked me out the door and said we are done here. I feel that they didn't care for my rights and what happend to me while I was there. I would like to know what I can do legally to protect not only myself but others from this happening to them and feeling like these people do not care. Can you be of assistance to me? Thankyou
