My son has been terrorizing my 12 year old and myself. Stealing pills, beer and knives. He destroyed his wall in his room and came after me yelling, threatening and cursing calling me a lot of disgusting abusive names. My daughter in fear called the cops because we were scared for our lives. Your police department came out and proceeded to tell me and my daughter as we were terrified and crying none of this is abuse! I contacted the crisis hotline at social services and the domestic violence coalition of Colorado to know, this is abuse! Plain and simple! Your police officers told me I would be charged with abuse and neglect if they take him and I didn't pick him up in 2 hours. I would be charged with fines and court costs if I press charges and they couldn't do anything till he physically touched us! Basically he has to attempt to kill us first! He continues to threaten me and my daughter, keeps her and I up all night with cursing, banging and destroying things. He harrasses me in text messages and your department officers told me I am not being a parent because I let him do this to me. They left me telling me that he can do this all he wants because I am not stopping him by punching him in the mouth to stop him! They were a disgrace to the uniform and I have contacted Senators, the Domestic Violence hotlines and I will contact the news to tell them that your officers allow this to happen and will not do their job of protecting its citizens.
