We have been through a roller coaster of events this past year. It all came about my daughters behavior really had taken a turn for the worse, I would find her up late at night she was all about leaving all the lights on at night. I could not turn her light off in her room like I did before if I did I had to leave her TV on. She started this I'm not feeling will and started to become glued to my hip at all times. She went from a happy normal every day child to a completely different one over night. To make a long story short another little girl came forward and told her mother and grandmother my daughter was being molested by her own father. She had known about this for sometime but promised my daughter she would not tell as my daughter was afraid to. This other child had known about it for months and she walked in on it happening to my daughter.
My daughter came home one evening from a visit at her fathers and could hardly walk I then had taken her to our local children's hospital. They brought in a social worker and seemed like we were in there for hours I ask them if they were going to call the cops to please call the police in another district because the town my child's father lives in his brother is chief of police there. So what did the social worker do didn't listen to me and called his brother and then said omg I am so sorry I forgot. So I knew then his brother chief of police there called my child's father asap and told him what was going on.
The worst thing is all this went on right in front of my daughter and she was scared I brought her in the hospital to have an exam done and they didn't do it. That's all they did and sent us on our way! An hour later I got a phone call from Englewood Ohio police Department, from Alan Meade a Detective with the department. He said he would be handling the case due to the conflict of interest that my child's father brother is police chief in the town he lives in. From then on everything turned into a big mess I brought my daughter in to meet with the detective and Montgomery county children services for an interview. The other little girl was brought in to for an interview with her mother. After the girls were interviewed by Carol Griesdorn the case worker from Montgomery County Children Services. We were brought in to talk to them again the women insisted that the girls were basically lying and there stories were not the same. I even told this women of course not each girl is account for what they encountered not what all has happened this last year. So it makes perfect sense they would both have their recall on what had taken place. Because my child's father is a police officer For Montgomery county sheriffs office she said she just could not see a police officer doing something like this. We were furious when we left there and my daughter cried the way home saying nobody believes her this women made her feel like she did something wrong and made her feel like she didn't know what she was talking about. She kept saying mom I told them everything why don't they believe me?
I couldn't answer that for her my heart was just ripped to shreds because I was doing everything possible to try to protect my child now knowing what finally has been going on. To make a long story short a days or so went by I hardly heard anything from the detective until one evening I had to take my daughter to the ER she was having really bad leg cramps. My child was set for her appointment that week months after everything accrued to have a psychical examination to see if there was any evidence.in the meantime The ER found she had a UTI infection and the doctor at the ER told me not to put anything on her irritated privates just to let the redness go away. I been suspecting something for a very long time because my daughters private parts would be inflamed with redness I just didn't know what it was.
It was all making since now why all this strange things were going on with her. It's just bad when I have to take my daughter out of the county to another hospital just to get medical treatment. That's exactly what I had to do and no parent should have to do this. The very next day after having my daughter treated at this other hospital the detective called me and said the my child's father brother the police chief in the city next to him said my daughter was seen at this hospital. I didn't even have a chance to call the detective myself yet not alone what gives this man the right to interfere in an investigation just because your a police officer does not give you the right. I don't care if this is my child's father brother or not he abused his power as an officer of the law.
I then ask the detective do you know this officer and he said yes. I said will isn't that conflict of interest and his response was if you have any complaints you can take it up with my supervisor. I didn't hear anything again from the detective until he called me and said the case is not going to the Montgomery county prosecutes office her father will not face charges for what he did. I then called asap the abuse organization I was getting advice from a famous one and I rather not give there name. They told me they have never heard of anything like this and the county my child's father works for and lives in should not be handling this case. It's a conflict of interest lawyers have also told me this.
My doctor and us never got anything we promised my daughter was supposed to be placed in victims counseling and was not I contacted once again Carol Griesdorn the case worker with Montgomery county. She said I'm sorry I thought she already was in counseling I said no and it aggravated me because she was supposed to be looking after the best interest of my child instead my daughter got blown off. So Carol promised me and said as soon as she gets off the phone she will do the referral for counseling and have it sent out that day to me. Will it's been almost 6 months and nothing! I never heard from her again. So about a month after the fact when all this was going on my daughter did finally get in for her psychical examination but when we did show up for the appointment they didn't have my daughter down for it because the caseworker for got to make the appointment. My child had to miss school once again for all this going on. So they made her appointment for a week later after that, and they found nothing of course and they said they could not use a UTI infection as evidence and that they could not use the other girl as a witness because they are related. Her father never denied doing anything to her he told the detective with his lawyer present that my daughter misunderstood his actions. I just still can't believe this!
So he is still very much allowed to see my daughter we were treated like dogs through this whole thing. Her dad was treated not as someone who was being accused of a crime but as a police officer who by any means could do no wrong.
My daughter still talks about it and this will be with her for the rest of her life and she fears that one day it will happen to her again. She still loves her father but hates the fact nothing can be done and she has to still be alone with him. Now I am in trouble with my daughters school because of all the days she missed over this. The caseworker was supposed to give something to the school for her to be excused and of course that never happened. So I might end up in court here soon for her attendance over this. I hope no child in Ohio has to go through this I don't care who you are and what you do for a living every case should be handled proper and all allegations should be investigated. This man was told never to bath my child or touch my child! My daughter says he is still give her a bath and why is a 38 year old man bathing my 7 year old child. He was told to stop but nobody wanted to do anything and with that said I'm limited on what I can do to protect her. We have contacted many of attorneys who said we definitely got a civil case however they want way to much money and we just don't have it.
