We had signed a lease with Colonial Grand at Mallard Lake and we supposed to move-in to the new apartment on 04/03.
We signed the lease and were handed over the keys. On moving in we found that the apartment had serious maintenance issues. There wer bed bugs and cockroaches crawling all over the place. We found 17 maintenance issues with the apartment.
Since we had already moved in our furniture, all our belongings also got infested with bed bugs present in the apartment.
Due to the pathetic condition of the apartment, we refused to move in and asked the community to treat our furniture and terminate the lease. They refused to treat the furniture and at the same time totally refused offering fair compensation for damages caused to our furniture.
