Ripoff apartment

I been living at duraham greens apartment the survice here sucks just recently i have decided to move out and termanate my lease here i talk to the manager to find out how much to termanate my lease and she told me that even if you move out you still have to pay every month's rent wether you live here or not untill someone rents the apartment i went ahead and looked over the lease agreement and found nothing regarding having to pay for the monthly rent even after i have moved out of the apartment
