I am currently stationed in Germany. I had a emergency leave and I had to leave right away to the states. Once I got to the states I called them and told them I was going to be late on the payment because I was not around a aafes to pay it. The lady told me it was fine I even took her name down and told her I was going to call her the next month if I wasnt back in Germany. She say no problem. So just as I did My husband went back to Iraq and I ended up staying a little over 3 months I asked her if I could pay with a debit card and she tells me no they didnt except them at the time!
Ok so I think everything is fine till I get home to pilled up mail and I call them and tell them Im back in town and going to make a payment (NOT EVEN THEN) did she tell me that it had been turned over to a tops account due to non payment... So NOW Im trying to buy a house and its REALLLLY holding me back because of a mistake they made I had no way to pay it and I dont feel its fair for them to tell you on ehting and do another and not even tell you till you find out on your own! I HATE AAFES STAR CARDS ARE NO WAY TO GO... And to top it off I have all 3 cards and that is the only one I had the problem with... I ahve never missed a payment until that date
