This Website, Catholic Answers is an embarassment to the Catholic Church. It is nothing more than some place where some arrogant, close minded, and downright biggoted. I accidently came across this website for the first time in the Summer of 2008. The first discussion I saw on this website was discussing whether Ghandi was in Hell. Being a Catholic all my life, involved in several church and bible studies, and what I understood was totally a shock to me. Even more shocking was the fact that people actually tried to declare he was, despite the church does not declare anyone in hell. Another time I came across this forum searching for some hymns, and I come across this website bashing the new hymns. And everyone joined in the bashing. I ended up on this website several times for certain religious topics, only to find a bunch of close minded, protestant haters. Here are some of the topics that I have seen, which is just a bunch of Hypocracy. One bashing the Late Pope John Paul II, one declaring most souls in hell, insulting Protestantism, hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and all other world Religions, Judging someone for going through a Mixed Marriage, along with condemning all the peaceful apparitions, yet tried pushing down some fire and brimstone "Apparitions" down our throats. They have a section where apologist can answer questions, and they are some of the most arrogant and rude people I have seen within the Church. Many people were trying to force us to accept stuff that is not even an article of Faith, let alone not even Church teaching. If you are not a big fan of certain Catholic Speakers, you are deemed as hating truth. If you have a more liberal opinion, you get insulted. Plus, if you try to speak out agianst all the offensive trash, you get banned. Wouldnt really be so bad. So, really the only purpose for this website is just a place where close minded, arrogant, pessimistic and hateful "Catholics" can post their hateful views that no real Catholic wants to listen to. A real Catholic lives as Jesus did, and go by a simple deposit of faith, which is centered on love of God and love of neighbor. Not go out on Heresy hunts. I know many Priests, devout Catholics, and other Catholic theologians who I will tell you would be appaled to see the filth on this website. If you want a truly Catholic or religious experience, stay away from this website.
Real Catholics are about reason, unity, understanding, tolerance, and peace. Not the filth represented here. This website is an embarassment to Catholics.
