I have been under contract to purchase a condominium in Portland Maine since February. As of March 30 the sale has not been approved. Brief facts about my case: Bank of America is the bank that I do business with. The condo I have been trying to purchase is a short sale. The owner has managed to collect $1500 of rent from me for the past 13 months while not paying his mortgage payment.in Nov. The condo went into foreclosure even though I am willing and ready to purchase the property. I have extended this contract numerous times, I have paid my rent on time to the seller (who is pocketing the money), I have been asked to pay late/past condo fees (with my rent money) in excess of $4,000 that the seller did not pay, I have an attorney involved, I agreed to pay a loss mitigation company $2500 if we close due to the seller said he cannot pay, the seller also said he will not pay any repairs etc. As well as he refused to install a radon system ($1,500) cost to ensure a safe living environment etc. Communication has been unclear as to where the process is. My case was accidentally closed at one point and had to be reopened, I received several notices that the process was moving forward and then they were retracted. This has been a very stressful, disappointing and unsettling experience, having just gone through a divorce. I was hoping that my bike would provide me with support and assist me with getting my life back on track rather than now having to worry about being presented with an eviction notice. I would still greatly appreciate the support of B of A to close on April 15 otherwise I will be forced to relocate and ultimately will move my finances to another banking institution. Thank you
