Beazer Homes
Countrywide and Bank of America Property Tax deception

I closed on a new Beazer condo in March (thru Countrywide). Beazer said because the condo was new construction, property taxes had not been assessed yet. At any rate, they said they would pay any unassessed taxes for 2008 thru March of when I closed on the loan.
Well, this month, while online paying my mortgage, I happened to notice Bank of America (who purchased Countrywide) had paid a $4500 2008 tax bill. I called Bank of America and asked what the heck they were doing and they said "oh yes, we received and paid the 2008 tax bill and now your mortgage payments will be going up by $900 a month, starting next month, to cover the shortfall and collect for 2009 taxes!"... And when were they going to tell me?
Needless to say, I was in SHOCK! I have written letters to the Township Assessors office, Beazer Homes and Bank of America. I also tried to contact the title company who was supposed to do the title search and their phone number has been disconnected.in the meantime, I am currently in jeopardy of loosing my home if I can not get this tax bill paid by the rightful owner of the property in 2008. Thirty days to come up with $900 more a month in mortgage payments — give me a break, no way that's gonna happen!!!
